I read this book many years ago and one line and piece of advice has always stuck with me … “Don’t be afraid to write shi##y first drafts.” It’s true. If you are trying to get it right on first draft, you are setting yourself up for failure. The editing process is where you fine tune. First you have to get it out, so you have something to work with. You’ll find many other tidbits worth reading, too.
