ART

During Covid I stumbled upon a 21 Day Painting Meditation Challenge and I haven’t stopped painting and creating art. It frees me, calms me, informs me and teaches me so many valuable life lessons. It is also integral to my writing. I cannot do one without the other.

I continue to have a creative practice. It feeds and fuels everything! I am happy to share what I create here and I hope to inspire you to find your own creative spark - a word, stroke, tap, sizzle, or note at a time.

My painting inspired by a painting class and intertwined with and the cover of my novel, “The Secret She Kept.”

The cover of my novel, “The Secret She Kept,” is one of my paintings. The painting and the novel evolved together over several years healing layers of my own grief, generational grief, and collective grief. Art is such a healing and expansive gift we can choose to embrace.

For the past several years, I’ve taken classes online and in person as well as taught writing and art classes as I searched for my own style and preference, often exploring, playing and following intuition as I created some of my favorite pieces which I am happy to share.
