EFT - TAPPING
EFT also known as ‘tapping’ combines the energy points of acupuncture using your own fingertips combined with talk therapy. EFT is a journey into the underlying emotional landscape of your body, thoughts, and experiences, offering so much freedom from anxiety, stress, and other manifestations from unresolved and unexplored emotions. They exist whether you are aware of them or not and EFT offers a very therapeutic and effective way to release yourself from unconscious information that is running your life.
The same things that create stress in our lives can also be reduced. You may have some idea of what is going on, but the deeper clues are buried in your subconscious mind. With tapping, we work with both the conscious mind – that which you are aware AND the unconscious mind – that which is storing all your experiences. Tapping helps to align the two minds to work together for more effective and positive results.
Illness, disease, anger, unhappiness are all symptoms of energy stuck in a negative pattern. While tapping, stuck energy starts to move, your cortisol levels decrease and your body begins to relax. Your mind can see through a fresher perspective and is no longer fueled by the stressful negative energy.
EFT Tapping Points
Tapping on specific points on your face and upper body while speaking out loud allows you to vocalize words that you many never have felt safe saying. It accesses a part of you that is forgotten. It teaches you to accept what you are feeling with love instead of judgement. Tapping is something you can do on your own everyday to reduce stress. You can tap in moments of overwhelm, intense emotions, and heavy stress for immediate results. Regardless of where your stress is coming from, everyday life, job, chronic pain, an illness, a relationship challenge, or lack of fulfillment using EFT will help address the underlying emotions and energy of the situation(s) to move beyond these limitations.
EFT balances the energy system with a gentle tapping on the face and body. You will find by eliminating the emotional intensity of a memory or emotion, it frees up blockages in your energy system, resulting in feeling more peace, calm and joy while also experiencing positive health benefits. It is fast and the results are often dramatic and long lasting. In fact, it often works when nothing else will. It can be very effective on a variety of issues from stress, pain, overwhelm, anxiety, intense emotions, often offering immediate results. EFT is a valid therapy modality, and more people are using it privately and in practice.
Tapping calms your nervous system and halts the fight or flight response which lowers cortisol levels. With tapping you can change how your brain reacts to stress and triggers.
EFT showed up for me in 2005 and 2006. Then In 2007, I embarked on a very emotional roller coaster working with Ingrid Dinter. The results were astounding for me! For years I had lived with an excruciating pain in my back. It felt like a very hot steel rod that was a permanent painful fixture often disabling me. After a few intense tapping sessions with Ingrid, that pain was gone. continued to work with Ingrid to address more of the physical disability from Lyme Disease.
Ingrid is also an EFT Trainer, so I participated in several of her training and mentoring programs to become a Certified EFT Practitioner. I have been using EFT with colleagues and family since 2008 before bringing it into my healing / coaching practice in 2010 to support my clients. I have continued with advanced training in EFT for my own personal and spiritual growth, and to further support my clients. Tapping with a professional who can hold space and guide you into deeper realms to release more of the underlying cause of stress can be life changing.
